This project represents a modern and innovative approach to learning Ancient Greek, aiming to transform a traditionally theoretical language into a living, interactive experience.
Through a fully developed digital platform for mobile devices (Android & iOS), users can engage with original audiovisual content filmed in historic locations across Greece. Dialogues and speeches are conducted entirely in Ancient Greek, presenting the language as a medium of real communication.
The content is supported by dynamic subtitles in multiple languages (Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, English, German, French), with the option to display two or more languages simultaneously.
The platform integrates advanced features such as voice control, full-screen viewing, and a custom-designed Ancient Greek keyboard for writing practice.
The educational program is structured progressively, starting from fundamental linguistic forms and advancing to more complex grammatical and syntactical structures.
The project has been developed in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of academics and creative professionals.
The vision of the project is to reposition Ancient Greek within the modern global landscape—not as a language to be memorized, but as one that can be heard, understood, and actively used.
